As per the regulations set by the Election Commission of India, leaders have disclosed their assets. According to an analysis conducted by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), independent candidate Ponraj K from the Toothkudi constituency in Tamil Nadu has emerged as the candidate with the least assets in phase 1 of the Lok Sabha election 2024, with assets totaling just Rs 320. Conversely, Congress candidate Nakul Nath has emerged as the wealthiest candidate, with assets valued at Rs 717 crore. The ADR report has scrutinized 1618 candidates across 102 constituencies that are slated for polling in the first phase of the Lok Sabha election 2024.

G Dhamodharan, representing Tamil Nadu's Arani constituency as an independent candidate, disclosed movable assets worth Rs 1,000, with total assets matching that amount. Lastly, J. Sebastian, standing [SUCI(C)] in Tamil Nadu's Chennai North constituency, declared movable assets of Rs 1,500.
