The winter session of Parliament is going to start on Monday; before that, the Central Government has called an all-party meeting on Sunday. In this meeting, an attempt was also made to build consensus among the parties to run the winter session of Parliament smoothly. In the all-party meeting, Congress has appealed to discuss the bribery charges against the Adani Group. It is clear from this that the opposition is going to raise this issue in the winter session as well, due to which the Parliament session is expected to be very tumultuous, but after the victory in the Maharashtra elections, the ruling BJP will definitely get some confidence.

There are chances of uproar in the session; there will be dispute on these issues: Reports say that the all-party meeting has been organized by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. Leaders of Congress, Trinamool Congress, DMK, Shiv Sena, BJD, and other parties were also present in this meeting. The winter session is going to start on Monday, i.e., 25 November, and will continue till 20 December. During this session, the opposition is going to try to corner the government on the issue of the Wakf Amendment Bill and Manipur violence. At the same time, the opposition has also attacked the Center over the allegations leveled by America on industrialist Gautam Adani.

Demand to discuss the Adani issue first:  Reports say that Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is also appealing for a Joint Committee (JPC) of Parliament to investigate Gautam Adani's case. Congress leader Pramod Tiwari has said after the meeting that his party has urged the government to allow a discussion on the Adani bribery scandal in the session. He has also said that his party wants this issue to be raised first in the Parliament meeting on Monday. The Rajya Sabha MP said that this is a serious issue related to the economic and security interests of the country, as the company has allegedly paid more than Rs 2,300 crore to politicians and bureaucrats to get a favorable deal for its solar power projects.

The JPC formed to discuss the Wakf Amendment Bill is going to present its report at the end of the first week of the winter session. However, the opposition MPs included in the JPC are also appealing for more time to submit the report. The program to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan on November 26 was also discussed in the meeting.
