Popular Tamil actor Thalapathy Vijay has officially stepped into the world of politics by announcing the launch of his new political party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazham. The announcement came through a post on the social media platform X.
Speculations were rife on social media about Vijay's potential collaboration with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, aiming to make inroads into Tamil Nadu. However, Vijay had not made any official statements regarding his political aspirations until now.
According to political analyst C Rajeev, Vijay commands a massive fan base in Tamil Nadu, rivaled only by Rajinikanth. With the formation of his political party, Vijay is expected to strengthen his position further. It's speculated that the BJP might align itself with Vijay, presenting a formidable alliance for the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu.
