Delhi News Updates: ​Rouse Avenue Court Extends Manish Sisodia’s Judicial Custody Until May 31

The Rouse Avenue court has decided to keep former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in judicial custody until May 31. Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court is set to rule on his bail application related to corruption and money laundering cases tied to the now-defunct excise policy on Tuesday. Sisodia has been in custody for over a year in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. The Enforcement Directorate informed the Delhi High Court today that it intends to name the Aam Aadmi Party as a defendant in the case's next prosecution complaint, alleging money laundering.

In response to recent comments made by Amit Shah in South Delhi, Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal took the stage on Tuesday to challenge the Home Minister’s remarks. Kejriwal criticized Shah for allegedly insulting Delhi residents and AAP supporters by calling them "Pakistanis." He pointed out that AAP won the majority vote share in Delhi (56%), secured 78 out of 117 seats in Punjab, and received significant support in Gujarat and Goa. Kejriwal questioned whether all these supporters are to be considered as Pakistanis.
