Indore: Electricity consumers in Madhya Pradesh may face a major setback soon. The electricity connection of 7 and half lakh users of Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company can be cut. Therefore, the department has also prepared a list of consumers. This action is being taken by the company, because these people have not paid the electricity bill for the past several months.
On giving information about this to the media, Chief General Manager of Western Region Power Distribution Company has told that the number of those who do not pay electricity bills has increased considerably in the last several years. Due to this, the company's financial condition has deteriorated. Chief General Manager Santosh Tagore further said that the company has about 4.5 million consumers in 16 districts.
In this, more than seven and a half lakh people have not deposited electricity bill. So all these have been put in the list of defaulters category. Chief General Manager Santosh Tagore says that these people have been warned many times. Yet these people are not collecting electricity bills. Therefore, the department is forced to take this step.
