Shimla: The political crisis of the Congress in Himachal Pradesh has advanced further as Vikramaditya Singh, son of Virbhadra Singh, has resigned from his ministerial position. Meanwhile, CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu has clarified that he has not resigned and will prove his majority owing to the budget. Amidst this, three observers have been sent by the Congress high command to save the government in Himachal Pradesh.
During a press conference, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh launched a scathing attack on PM Modi. He said that Modi's only guarantee is to topple all Congress governments. He claimed that a conspiracy has been hatched to overthrow our government in the Rajya Sabha elections through cross-voting. Our three senior leaders are in Shimla; we will take tough decisions. We will not back down from making tough decisions. Jairam Ramesh said that our observers will consult with all MLAs and try to address their grievances. Subsequently, MLA complaints will be submitted to Aalakmaan through a report. He claimed that we will fulfill the mandate we have received. The Congress party and the organization are paramount. Our priority is to save the government in Himachal Pradesh because the people there have clearly rejected the Bharatiya Janata Party and given a clear majority to our party.
Meanwhile, Congress Secretary General Jairam stated regarding the Rajya Sabha elections, "We couldn't win the Rajya Sabha, we are not denying that. Abhishek Manu Singhvi could not win this seat. We are accepting this fact." Three observers have been sent to Himachal Pradesh by the Congress party. These include former CM of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former CM of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel, and Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar. These observers have been instructed by the Congress high command to engage with Aalakmaan and clearly articulate what steps are needed to counter Operation Lotus. A report on this matter has been urgently requested.
