Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal is not trying to reduce the problems of the government in the Sandeshkhali case. Now ISF MLA Naushad Siddiqui, who is said to be a staunch opponent of Mamata Banerjee, was going to Sandeshkhali on Tuesday morning. Due to this the police stopped him and later arrested him.

According to the news received, ISF MLA Siddiqui is going to meet the Sandeshkhali victim women. Due to this, West Bengal Police was deployed near Science City to stop ISF MLA. Thereafter, there was a heated argument between the police and the MLA and later the Kolkata Police arrested him. Giving information about the arrest of ISF MLA, the police said that MLA Naushad Siddiqui has been arrested under section 154. 

What is the Sandeshkhali controversy?: Sandeshkhali area, located on the border of Sunderbans, about 100 kilometers from Kolkata, has been on the boil with protests against Shahjahan and his supporters for more than a month. In fact, the women of the village had recently alleged that TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh and other TMC leaders had taken over their lands and some women had also accused TMC leaders of sexual exploitation. Women protested in Sandeshkhali regarding this. BJP workers are also protesting in Sandeshkhali. Shahjahan Sheikh is a culprit in the ration scam and in the recent attack on the Enforcement Directorate team, Shahjahan Sheikh is also a culprit. Meanwhile, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of doing politics on this issue.
