HTC has officially announced the launch of its new smartphones in Taiwan on June 12. Although the company has not disclosed the design, specifications, or the exact name of the device, speculation suggests it could be part of the highly anticipated HTC U24 series.
The series, likely comprising the HTC U24 and HTC U24 Pro, will debut first in Taiwan, with no clear timeline yet for their availability in India and other global markets. A teaser image shared by HTC hints at features such as volume rockers and a power button on the right side of the device. Additionally, the U24 series might sport a vertical pill-shaped camera setup, as indicated by the teaser.
HTC U24 Specifications:
Notably, the HTC U24 Pro, with model number 2QDA100, recently appeared on a Geekbench listing, revealing several key specifications. The U24 Pro is expected to offer a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1800 x 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and may include up to 12GB of RAM, while the standard U24 variant might feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset.
The U24 Pro is rumored to sport a quad-camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor, while the U24 could feature a triple-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor. Both devices are expected to include a 32MP front-facing camera and IP67 water and dust resistance.
However, these specifications are based on rumors, and for the official details, we will have to wait for the Taiwanese launch of the device. The new smartphones are scheduled to be unveiled at 8 AM Taiwanese Time (5:30 AM India time) on June 12.
