Panaji: The Government of Goa has made a big announcement that now people with no masks will be given ration-water and petrol. The Meghalaya government has already decided not to provide petrol and diesel to those without masks, but now even in Goa, without masks, people will not get fuel and petrol pumps at petrol pumps.

The Government of Goa has taken this decision to prevent community spread of Coronavirus. The decision was taken at a meeting of the State Executive Committee held on Thursday under the leadership of state Chief Secretary Parimal Rai. In view of the havoc of coronavirus, the committee has stated the need to strictly follow the rule of wearing masks. According to the official statement, at the fair price shops in the state, fuel will not be available at ration and petrol pumps.

The committee said that for this the state government should run a campaign like 'no petrol if not mask' and 'no ration if no mask'. In order to spread awareness among the public about the coronavirus, many types of campaigns such as 'stay at home, be safe' are also being run. Earlier in September last year, when motor vehicle regulations were made strict, campaigns like 'helmet not petrol' and 'seat-belt not petrol' were organized in many cities to spread awareness among the people.
