Commuters are advised to expect significant traffic on DDU Marg, IP Marg, Minto Road, and Vikas Marg. The police specifically mentioned that DDU Marg might be closed from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Travelers are encouraged to avoid these roads and plan their routes accordingly.
Police Statement on Social Media
The Delhi Traffic Police shared on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter: "In view of the proposed protest by a political party at DDU Marg Delhi, traffic will remain heavy at DDU Marg, IP Marg, Minto Road, and Vikas Marg. DDU Marg may be closed for traffic movement between 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Kindly avoid these roads and plan your journey accordingly."
Protest Details
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has organized a protest at noon today at the BJP headquarters. He, along with senior AAP leaders, plans to march in response to what they allege is a series of targeted actions by the BJP-led central government against their party members.
Permission Denied
The Delhi Police announced on Sunday that AAP had not sought permission for the protest outside the BJP headquarters scheduled for May 19. Consequently, AAP leaders and supporters will not be allowed to proceed with the march towards the BJP office.

The protest follows the recent arrest of Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Chief Minister Kejriwal, in connection with the Swati Maliwal 'assault' case. Kejriwal and his party members are set to march from DDU Marg to the BJP headquarters in response to this arrest.
