RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 11th goal of the season, helping Al-Nassr secure a 3-1 victory over Al-Okhdood on Thursday. This win marked the restart of the Saudi Pro League after a month-long break.

In a thrilling match, Cristiano Ronaldo played a pivotal role in securing Al Nassr's lead, following an impressive goal from Sadio Mane earlier in the game. The Portuguese superstar's strike added to the momentum, reinforcing Al Nassr's dominance as they surged forward.

However, it wasn’t an easy ride for the team, as Al Okhdood set the tone early by opening the scoring just six minutes into the match. Their fast start put significant pressure on Stefano Pioli's men, challenging Al Nassr to respond quickly. Despite this early setback, Ronaldo’s contribution helped shift the balance in his team's favor, as they fought back with resilience and determination.

With a strong attacking display, Al Nassr ultimately maintained control, pushing for further goals while withstanding the early pressure from Al Okhdood. The match showcased both teams' fierce competitive spirit, but Ronaldo and Mane’s clinical finishes ensured Al Nassr's superior position on the scoreboard.

Al-Okhdood took an early lead thanks to Saviour Godwin's goal. However, Al-Nassr quickly responded with former Liverpool star Sadio Mane, who equalized in the 29th minute.

Just before halftime, Ronaldo put Al-Nassr ahead by converting a penalty, bringing his tally to 11 goals for the season. The 39-year-old Portuguese forward, who was the league’s top scorer last season, is now just one goal behind Aleksandar Mitrovic of Al-Hilal in the current standings.

In the final moments of the match, Mane netted his second goal in the 88th minute, securing a comfortable 3-1 win for Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo's Ambitions with Al Nassr

Despite ongoing rumors surrounding his future in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano Ronaldo has firmly expressed his determination to achieve greatness with Al Nassr. As the football legend approaches his 40th birthday in February, he remains focused on securing titles with his current team, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to their success.

Al Nassr's upcoming match against Al Taawoun on Friday, January 17, is a crucial fixture as they continue their campaign in the Saudi Pro League. However, the excitement doesn't end there. The team is also gearing up for their return to the prestigious UEFA Champions League in February. With aspirations to advance beyond the group stages, Al Nassr will be targeting a spot in the coveted Round of 16, further solidifying Ronaldo’s goal to bring success to the club on the international stage.

Through his leadership and experience, Ronaldo aims to guide Al Nassr to new heights, cementing his legacy in Saudi Arabian football.
