A few months ago, the country's 3 major private telecom companies have made their plans expensive. At first, people got expensive recharges done out of compulsion, but now it seems that making recharges expensive is becoming costly for the telecom companies. In just one month, 10 million i.e. 10 crore customers have said goodbye to Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea.

TRAI released data: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released data regarding customers, according to which one crore customers have left private telecom companies in September 2024. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has made tremendous gains during the same period. BSNL has added 8.5 lakh new customers during this period. TRAI says that the total number of wireless customers in the country has come down to 1.156 billion, which also clearly shows a monthly decline rate of 0.87%.

Jio suffered the most loss: According to reports, the Indian telecom sector has also seen a big drop in the number of subscribers during September 2024. Reliance Jio has suffered the most loss in September. Jio lost 7.97 million i.e. 79.7 lakh customers in a month. Now Jio's wireless subscriber count has reached 463.7 million i.e. 46.3 crores.

Bharti Airtel lost 14.3 lakh customers - During this period Airtel lost 1.43 million i.e. 14.3 lakh customers, after which the total number of Airtel's wireless customers has reached 383.4 million i.e. 38.3 crores.

Vodafone Idea also lost customers- Vodafone Idea lost 1.55 million i.e. 11.5 lakh customers and now its customers are only 212.4 million i.e. about 21.2 crores. BSNL made profit- During this period BSNL made profit and its customer base increased to 91.8 million i.e. about 9.1 crores.
