The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS), linked with the RSS, has spoken out against the 'Delhi Chalo' march by farmers, labelling it as a political move that doesn't serve the farmers' interests. said the BKS General Secretary Mohini Mohan Mishra, farmers should receive fair prices for their crops, but using their cause for political gain, especially during elections, should cease.

Mishra emphasized that such political movements often lead to violence, chaos, and damage to national property, fostering negative sentiments toward farmers. He urged politicians to pursue their ambitions without tarnishing the reputation of farmers.

The BKS has been consistently advocating for fair prices based on production costs and has organized protests when discussions with governments fail to yield results. They demand fair prices for farmers, elimination of GST on agricultural inputs, an increase in the Kisan Samman Nidhi (a welfare scheme for farmers), and a ban on GM seeds.

Mishra lamented that farmers often become pawns in political games, citing past incidents like the 2017 protests in Mandsaur and the recent agitation against the farm laws in Delhi. He stressed the need to halt political maneuvers under the guise of supporting farmers.

He highlighted the ongoing struggle of various organizations to address farmers' issues, regardless of the ruling government. Mishra identified access to quality seeds and fair markets as key concerns for farmers, emphasizing the need to end exploitation in these areas.
