Apple is in talks to integrate Google's Gemini artificial intelligence engine into the upcoming iPhone 16, according to sources familiar with the matter as reported by Bloomberg News.

The discussions also involve Apple considering the use of OpenAI's model for its AI features, the report added.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurnman reported that Apple and Google are actively negotiating the integration of Gemini to power some of the new generative AI features on iPhones this year. This potential collaboration could significantly impact Google's Gemini chatbot, which has faced controversies recently.

Additionally, Apple has been in discussions with OpenAI, a San Francisco-based startup, for potential utilization of its AI model.

As of now, the terms and branding of any potential AI agreement between Apple and Google, or Apple and OpenAI, have not been finalized.

No official announcements regarding these potential deals are expected until June, coinciding with Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference.

At the time of this report, Apple, Google, and OpenAI have not responded to requests for comment.

Now talk to Gemini AI instead of Google Assistant, everything will be easy with the app
