Ujjain: In Madhya Pradesh, Ujjain is witnessing an increase in the death toll due to day-to-day spurious liquor. The death toll has reached 14 on Thursday. In fact, seven people were reported to have died on Wednesday. The bodies of two more people were found on Thursday morning, and after that five people died during the treatment in the afternoon. The death toll has gone up to 14.
The death toll was reported to include 13 labourers. The administration has confirmed the death of 12 people by Thursday night but 2 more people are being involved. As per the information received, Kharkuan Thana Incharge ML Meena, Sai Niranjan Sharma, Constable Sheikh Anwar and Nawaz Sharif have been placed under suspension in the case due to negligence. On the other hand, in Bhopal, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has spoken about the matter.
He did this during a meeting with the officials. In the meantime, they have issued instructions to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct an enquiry.
