HARIDWAR: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, joining with Baba Ramdev, actively participated in a massive yoga exercise. In the wake of this event, Dhami expressed his determination to transform Uttarakhand into a drug-free state. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of formulating a Uniform Civil Code that considers the interests of all social classes.
Marking the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Chief Minister addressed the public by stating, "Today, on International Yoga Day, I had the privilege of joining thousands of individuals at Patanjali Yogpeeth for a rigorous two-and-a-half-hour yoga session. We are committed to propelling Uttarakhand forward in the realms of yoga, spirituality, and culture."
Dhami proudly acknowledged Uttarakhand's significant contributions to the domains of yoga, spirituality, Ayurveda, and industry. He further revealed plans to host a Global Investor Summit in Uttarakhand, extending invitations to attendees from across the nation and abroad.
The Call for a Uniform Civil Code: Regarding the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami asserted, "In Uttarakhand, we will ensure that a Uniform Civil Code is formulated through comprehensive discussions with all social classes. Article 44 of the Indian Constitution already makes provisions for a Uniform Civil Code. The constitutional committee responsible for drafting this article has engaged in discussions with over two hundred and fifty thousand individuals, representing diverse social groups."
In his condemnation of drug abuse, CM Dhami proclaimed, "Just as we enacted an anti-conversion law, we are determined to introduce legislation to combat drug-related issues."
Yoga guru Baba Ramdev commended the transformative influence of yoga on India's global reputation, stating, "On the International Day of Yoga, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a yoga session at the UN headquarters."
