After the rescue operation that lasted for seventeen days, all the workers have finally been taken out of the tunnel. This good news that came on Tuesday evening created an atmosphere of happiness across the country. Tuesday night passed like Diwali for the families of 41 laborers trapped in the tunnel. During this time it also came to light that PM Narendra Modi was watching live the rescue operation being conducted in the tunnel. The entire cabinet along with the PM also watched the live telecast of the rescue operation. As soon as the workers trapped in the tunnel started coming out, the PM became very emotional.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur has said in this regard that the cabinet meeting was going on at around 8 pm on Tuesday night amid the process of evacuating the workers. CM met the workers after reaching the hospital: After rescuing the workers, today Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Chinyalisaur Hospital and met the workers. The workers were brought here on Tuesday evening after being rescued. After his meeting, Dhami said that all the workers are in good condition. After which he was taken to AIIMS Rishikesh, where his medical checkup was done.

Silkyara Tunnel is part of the Char Dham project: Reports say that some part of the Silkyara Tunnel, part of the Central Government's ambitious Char Dham project, had collapsed due to a landslide on November 12. After this, the very next day, a rescue operation was started to save 41 laborers trapped inside the tunnel. After the operation that lasted for 17 days, everyone was evacuated safely on 28 November 2023.

Rat miners broke the last wall of the tunnel: The American auger machine called for tunnel drilling a day earlier, on November 27, has also completely broken down. His blades were broken. After which rat miners were called to dig the remaining tunnel of about 10 meters. The rate miners had broken the last part of the tunnel in less than the stipulated time. After this, a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force, Assam (SDRF) entered with the help of steel chute to reach the stranded workers. After this everyone was evacuated from there.
