New Delhi: The spell of rain has ended in the northern states of the country, while it is still raining in the southern states. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Gujarat on October 13.

The weather in Delhi is changing, where the temperature is decreasing in the morning and cold winds are blowing. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky is likely to remain clear in Delhi throughout this week and there will be bright sunshine, although it may also be partly cloudy. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 33 to 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be between 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. Weather forecasting agency Skymet reported that there has been some pause in the withdrawal of monsoon in central and eastern India, but the cold is increasing in the northern plains. Delhi's temperature is falling 1-2 degrees below normal and the weather will remain dry for the next 7-10 days. There is no activity in the mountains either, and northwesterly winds can reduce the temperature by 1-2 degrees. Evenings and nights will be pleasant and a slight chill will be felt in the morning.

The day temperature in Delhi is likely to be between 33°-34°C and the morning minimum temperature is 19°-20°C. The morning temperature may increase slightly in the middle of next week. A post-monsoon system may come from the Bay of Bengal, which may change the wind direction. The effect of cold winds may stop for a short time between October 17 and 20, which may increase the humidity level. According to the Meteorological Department, a drop in temperature is being seen in many states. The weather is also changing in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan. However, there may be rain at some places in Bihar and Jharkhand today. Slight cold is being felt in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.

Temperatures have also started falling in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Temperatures may drop further in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in the coming weeks. There is a possibility of snowfall in the Himalayan region, which is expected to increase the cold in North India. The effect of the system formed in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will not be seen in the states of North India, but there is a possibility of rain in the southern states. Apart from this, there may be rain in many areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
