Noida: An incident of rape of a 17-year-old minor has come to light at the De-addiction Centre in UP's Noida. Police have arrested a criminal in this connection. The culprit, Pradeep Singh, is a resident of Pauri Gadwal in Uttarakhand. Pradeep, 44, was working as a guard at the Re-Awakening Wellness Foundation in Noida's Sector-108. Police said the victim was addicted to drugs. To get rid of this, the victim's parents had admitted her to the De-addiction Centre. On August 30, 2021, guard Pradeep raped the girl. At the same time, he threatened the victim, saying that if she tells this to anyone, he will kill her.

After some time, when the victim went to her home from the de-addiction centre, she informed the family about the whole incident. Subsequently, the victim lodged a complaint against the offender at Safdarjung police station in Delhi. As the spot was from Noida, the Delhi Police had registered a zero FIR and sent it to the Sector-39 police station. The police have now arrested the culprit Pradeep. A case has also been registered in this case for rape, threatening to kill and under the POCSO Act.

At the same time, an incident of rape of a minor girl by a coaching operator in Betul, Madhya Pradesh came to light. The 15-year-old minor was raped by coaching centre operator Prakash Bhojkar. The victim was then threatened, due to which she did not lodge a complaint with the police. Due to this, the minor victim became pregnant, and the parents of the accused brought the victim to the private hospital Karuna Hospital in Betul and aborted her on March 22. An unknown person called Betul SP Simla Prasad about the same case and gave a statement. After which the SP sent the police team to the victim's house and on March 26, a case of Section 376 was registered against the offender at Amla police station and arrested.
