Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Tuesday that his government has enhanced the amount paid under old age pension to Rs 1500 from Rs 1200.
On Twitter, CM Dhami wrote in Hindi, "Our government has granted benefits to both eligible husband and wife from this scheme along with increasing the amount of old age pension to Rs 1500."
The slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas will guide our efforts as we strive to improve every segment of society, said CM Dhami. CM Dhami stated that "more than 600 community health officers have been appointed by our government in various districts of Uttarakhand" when discussing the employment of health officers in the state. "The state government is continually working to give the youth with employment as well as to provide the general public with better health facilities," he said.
The Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly's budget session got underway on Monday in Bhararisain, Uttarakhand. The Congress MLAs conducted a sit-in protest outside the Vidhan Sabha prior to the assembly's business. A CBI investigation into suspected anomalies in many recruitment examinations in the state was urged by Congress MLAs.
Earlier on Monday, Uttarakhand's chief minister, Dhami, stated that the state budget would aid in the state's development.
"Today's budget session will begin. In this budget, our government's goals for the state of Uttarakhand are highlighted. We anticipate that all of the leaders will help the state prosper, he said.
Uttarakhand Old Age Pension Scheme: The Old Age Pension Scheme of the state is available for the senior citizens of the uttarkhand state minimum age 60 years.
There is one more condition that they should be live below the poverty line. If they full fill all the eligibility criteria then Government of Uttarakhand will provide them.
Earlier, Under old age pension scheme, there was a provision of granting pension of Rs. 1000 per month to the pensioner. The BPL beneficiaries of 60 years to 79 years of age were given Rs. 200 per month by the Central Government and Rs. 800 monthly pension by the State Government. Similarly, BPL beneficiaries of 80 years of age were given monthly pension of Rs 500 per month by the Central Government.
