Lucknow: A gang-rape victim has committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar. Police have registered a case and recovered the girl's body from her house. Police said no suicide note was found from the spot. Police are investigating the case. The incident took place at Shahpur police station in Chandpur village under Muzaffarnagar.
According to information provided by the police, the body of the 19-year-old gang-rape victim was found at her house on Tuesday. Police believe that the victim has committed suicide. Circle Officer (CO) Vinay Gautam informed that the girl's body was hanging from a snare at her house. Police have searched the entire house of the deceased. According to the victim's family, she was alone in the house at the time of the incident.
Her father was on the job at the time, while her mother had gone out of work. According to police, the girl was gang-raped by four boys three years ago in 2019. All the four accused in the case were arrested by the police. The main accused in the gang rape is currently in jail.
