Lucknow: A gang of robbers under the guise of marriage has been busted in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh. On the complaint of a man from Atrauli in the district, police have arrested eight members of the gang. Police have said that earlier, pretending to be a fake marriage, the woman of the gang used to go to someone's house as a bride and make all the people of the house unconscious by giving drugs at the night. After this, these people used to loot all their belongings and leave the city very comfortably and escape.
According to the police, the arrested accused have recently confessed to a similar incident in Muzaffarnagar. Aligarh police said that the same incident was going to happen to youth from Atrauli, but the gang was caught before that. Eight people of this gang have been arrested and sent behind bars. According to Superintendent of Police City Kuldeep Singh, Rajesh of Atrauli had alleged that he wanted to have a second marriage after the death of his first wife. In this search, he came in contact with this gang. The gang first asked him to come to Jharkhand and nabbed out 2.5 lakh rupees there and drove him away. At the same time, Rajesh also stayed in touch with this gang with the intention of taking revenge and luring everyone here.
On Tuesday, 8 members of this gang were caught by the police. Those arrested include Phoolwati Tirkey resident of Sugda police station Simdega Jharkhand, Urmila Devi resident of Kothi police station Jadi Gulma, Shanti Devi resident of Lohgardaga Jharkhand, Rahim Ansari, Kalim Khan, Hal resident of Right Lodha native Jharkhand, Saeed Ansari resident of Jitlid police station Payye Lohardaga Jharkhand, Laxman Lohra resident Poha police station Bhadra district Lohagardaga.
