Lucknow: Heavy rains have been lashing different parts of Uttar Pradesh for the last 48 hours. Today i.e. on Sunday morning, due to waterlogging on some roads of Ghaziabad and Noida, passers-by had to suffer. Due to heavy rains here, a portion of the road caved in near Bisrak in Greater Noida West of Gautam Buddh Nagar. However, the repair work of the road is going on. Let us tell you that the drivers were very upset due to water logging on the underpass in Noida Sector 126. Kanpur, Aligarh, Moradabad, Mathura, Mainpuri and Meerut also received intermittent light rain throughout the night.

Due to the rain, the temperature dropped here. The minimum temperature in Noida is expected to hover around 22 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be around 24 degrees Celsius. It has been said that the sky will remain cloudy. According to the Meteorological Department of Uttar Pradesh, light or moderate rains may occur in 49 districts of the state till October 12. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), 67 out of 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh have received excess rainfall last week. The crop cycle was already in disarray due to the almost non-availability of rainfall in the monsoon season i.e. June-July and now due to excessive rains in September-October, farmers have become even more upset due to the destruction of even the right crops.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued some instructions to the authorities regarding providing relief to farmers affected by drought and floods, but many cultivators believe that this relief can prove to be insufficient help coming late. In fact, due to unseasonal rains in September and October, where people have faced floods in many urban areas. Lakhs of hectares of agricultural land have been submerged in water due to the rains, causing tremendous damage to paddy, maize and potato crops. Apart from this, bajra and urad crops have also been badly affected.
