Shillong: Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju on Monday hoped that the National Games would be held in Goa and next year in Meghalaya this year, even after the Games calendar was affected due to the global pandemic coronavirus. He assured full support and support from his ministry.
Union Minister Rijiju admitted that the sports calendar has also been affected by the infrastructure due to the coronavirus epidemic. Rijiju further said that the date of the games is a problem. Goa could not host last year due to the corona epidemic. It is expected that Goa will be able to host these games this year.
Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju further said, 'Next year Meghalaya can host it. CM Konrad Sangma is really trying hard for this. She assured me that "I will do whatever is necessary to promote sports in the Northeast."
