Tripura has seen its highest single-day spike in COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, with 1,385 more people tests positive.
With four new fatalities recorded on Tuesday, the total number of people who have died in the last four days has climbed to 12. According to the data, the West district had the new cases with 610, followed by Unakoti with 145. The positive percentage was 14.86 percent out of 9,321 samples tested.
In the last 24 hours, 492 patients have recovered from the disease. “We are sorry to note that COVID appropriate behaviour protocol is often ignored in public places. If people don’t respect the guidelines, the situation will turn worse by next month,” COVID surveillance officer Deep Debbarma told reporters.
