LUCKNOW: A day after when a man working in UAE uttered triple talaq to his wife in Uttar Pradesh's Sultanpur using a text message, two more uncanny cases of divorce shook the state. On the other hand in one case the man divorced his wife to break away from the liability of providing treatment to their physically challenged daughter, in the second case the victim due to her dark complexion made her husband put stop the two-year wedding by stated 'triple talaq' on phone.

A 42-year-old woman Sakina Bano from Gonda district, UP said her husband Mubarak Ali called up on Saturday from Mumbai and divorced her. She added that Mubarak also turned down to offer any help for the treatment of their physically challenged daughter Karishma.Victim's father Abdul Satar said Mubarak has been working in Mumbai for the past decade hardly ever visits Bano. The couple got wedded 17 years ago and later than Mubarak left for Mumbai, Bano together wither daughter Karishma came back to her to father's house.

Bano's parents accused her in-laws threatened to take life the duo if she did not manage the money for her daughter's disability. Her family has now moved the Gonda Police against the unlawful termination of the marriage. An FIR was lodged in Wazirganj police station on Saturday. The family said there were at least 16 joint meetings between panchayat members of Bano's village Balharai and Ali's village Charow for settlement between the two families ahead of she was divorced.

Amreen from Rampur, one more Muslim woman accused that due to her dark complexion made husband stop their two-year-old wedding with a phone call pronouncing 'talaq' three times.

Rampur ASP Sudha Singh confirmed that an FIR had been filed with charges of matrimonial brutality under IPC section 498 have been pushed against five members of Amreen's in-laws

Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad asserted in winter parliament session that there have been 100 such cases of instant triple talaq since the Supreme Court in August lined the practice of 'talaq three’ illegal.
