Bhopal: In a tragic incident that unfolded in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday morning, a woman took her own life by hanging herself along with her three young daughters. The devastating event occurred in Rondia village, within the jurisdiction of the Gunga police station. Sadly, the woman and two of her daughters, identified as Sanjeeta (28), Aradhya (5), and Shrishti (1.5), lost their lives, while another daughter, Manu (2.5 years old), was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Upon receiving the distressing news, the police immediately responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
Bhopal's Superintendent of Police (SP, rural), Pramod Kumar Sinha, stated, "We received information at 7:30 in the morning that a woman had hanged herself along with her children in Rondia village under Gunga police station." He further explained that upon arrival, authorities discovered the tragic scene, with the woman and two children deceased, while one child was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The police then called for the assistance of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team and conducted necessary procedures before sending the bodies for post-mortem examination.
Preliminary investigations have revealed troubling details about the woman's circumstances. It appears that she was facing difficulties with her in-laws, and her husband was reportedly addicted to alcohol and subjected her to physical abuse. Additionally, allegations of dowry harassment and mistreatment due to not bearing a son have surfaced. Authorities are diligently investigating all aspects of the case, and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings.
