Gurugram: The Gurugram Police is actively searching for the husband of a 23-year-old woman whose lifeless body was discovered in her residence in the DLF Phase III area, surrounded by a pool of blood, with her two-year-old baby nearby, crying, as reported on Monday.
Authorities suspect that the woman fell victim to a sharp-edged weapon, and the prime suspect, her husband, is currently on the run. Upon responding to the distress call, the police encountered a locked residence. After forcibly entering, they discovered the woman's lifeless body and her crying two-year-old child beside her. The victim, identified as Laxmi Rawat, hailed from Agra and was married to Gaurav Sharma. The couple had relocated to their current residence about six months ago, and police suspect that the murder occurred a day prior.
Vikas Kaushik, ACP DLF, stated, "We are investigating the matter from all angles and trying to catch the husband of the woman who is missing. The cause behind the murder will be cleared soon."
