President Droupadi Murmu will begin a three-day visit to Maharashtra on Monday, September 2. This visit will include significant events and engagements throughout the state.
Convocation Address at Symbiosis International (Deemed University)
One of the highlights of President Murmu's visit will be her participation in the 21st convocation ceremony of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). The ceremony will take place at the university’s Lavale campus, where she will address graduates and attendees, celebrating their academic achievements.
Engagement with Beneficiaries of State Schemes
In addition to the convocation, President Murmu will also engage with beneficiaries of two important Maharashtra government schemes. She will address a gathering in Udgir, where she will speak to those who have benefited from the ‘Shasan Aplya Dari’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojna’.
Shasan Aplya Dari: This scheme aims to enhance the accessibility of government services to the people, ensuring efficient delivery and support.
Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojna: This initiative focuses on supporting and empowering women, providing various benefits and opportunities to improve their social and economic status.
Pune's traffic is set to experience significant changes today, September 3, due to President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Symbiosis University in the Lavale area. The Pune District Collector has announced that road diversions will be in effect from 12 noon to 4 pm.
During this period, all light, heavy, and extra-heavy vehicles will need to follow alternate routes. Essential services such as police, fire brigades, ambulances, and revenue department vehicles will be exempt from these diversions.
Details of the Traffic Diversions
Traffic from Nandegaon-Sunnyworld and Sus routes will be redirected.
Vehicles traveling from Nandegaon-Male will be rerouted through Hinjewadi to Pune.
Traffic from Nandegaon-Pirangut will be diverted to Chandni Chowk.
Residents are advised to use the alternative routes to avoid congestion and ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
President Murmu’s Maharashtra Visit
On September 2, President Droupadi Murmu began a three-day visit to Maharashtra. She was welcomed by the state Governor and started her trip with a visit to the Mahalaxmi temple in Kolhapur, where she sought blessings.
