Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to lay the foundation stone of Noida International Airport at Jewar in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh at 1 pm today, 25 November. In fact, this airport being built in Jewar will be the second international airport in Delhi-NCR and it is being said that after its construction, the pressure on Indira Gandhi International Airport will also ease after its construction. The first phase of foundation stone laying of the airport is said to be completed in 2023-24 in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Also inform you that Jewar Airport will become a major hub of industrial activities and service sector in the National Capital Region. The first phase is said to be developing at a cost of over Rs 10,050 crore. It will be Asia's largest airport in 6200 hectares. As per the information received, two runways will be constructed in 1334 hectares in the first phase and 1.2 crore passengers are expected to travel in the first phase. In addition to the cargo facility at the airport, the MRO system will also be available and the airport will have an annual capacity of 1.2 crore passengers after completion of the first phase of work.
In fact, the Yogi government has claimed that it will be asia's largest and the fourth largest airport in the world. The airport will be completely pollution free. Not only this, it will be the first airport in India to have an integrated multi-modal cargo centre and from where all the focus is on reducing logistics expenses and time. The cargo terminal at the airport is said to have a capacity of 20 lakh MT and will be increased to 80 lakh MT.
