Agartala: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Shambhu Lal Chakma has been threatened with murder in Tripura. This threat has been made by releasing a video. The accused who released the video has threatened to kill him after the BJP MLA demanded the closure of all madrasas in the state. The police have registered a case in this case and started the search for the threatening person. This video of threat is also going viral on social media.
In the video, the threatening person is wearing a uniform. He also has a knife in his hand. In the video, he starts with 'Salaam Wale Kum'. Then he tells MLA Shambhu Lal abusing his mother that he will kill her with this knife. According to Dhalai district's SP Ramesh Yadav, 'Investigation has been started after registering a case. Information about the social media profile of the accused who made threats has been collected. The accused will be arrested soon. At the same time, a complaint has been lodged by a local BJP leader in this matter.
Let us inform that Shambhu Lal Chakma is a BJP MLA from Chhavmanu seat of Tripura. According to media reports, he had demanded the closure of all madrasas in the state. According to the MLA, terrorists and anti-social elements come out of madrasas after studying. Shambhu Lal Chakma had expressed the expectation of the Tripura government to act like the Assam government on madrassas. Angered by his statement, Tripura Madrasa Teachers Association (TMTA) and some other Muslim organizations demanded action. TMTA had asked the MLA to produce proof of his statement.
