Barmer: A function is being organized in Barmer, Rajasthan, which has never happened before in any state of the country. From here, the daughters, who were married in other states and abroad, returned to attend a special ceremony. The event in Pachpadra has been named 'Babul Ki Galiyaan'. Daughters are enjoying this 3-day ceremony fiercely. On Thursday, the ceremony began with a Mahendi competition.

Bhavna Jain and Mamta Talesara, both residents of Pachpadra village, live with their families in Ichalkaranji and Mumbai. Both of them came up with the idea of celebrating the Babul Ki Galiyaan. For this, they collected the numbers of the daughters of Pachpadra married in the country and abroad first. After that, they formed a WhatsApp group and prepared for such a big event. Now daughters living in the country and abroad are participating in this ceremony.

This is the first time that more than 1,000 daughters have reached Pehar. When a procession of one thousand daughters was taken out simultaneously, everyone was watching. A huge devotional evening was also organized at Jain Tirtha Nakoda as part of the ceremony. The daughters gave a grand welcome to Jainacharya. The ceremony was also attended by daughters who have become elderly. All the daughters were charged a fee of Rs 1100-1100 with registration. When the people of Pachpadra came to know about this event, different individuals took the responsibility of bearing the expenses of the event. In such a situation, the daughters decided that the collected money should be used for some good work. It was decided to construct a big house for birds in Pachpadra, which will be a gift to the town on behalf of the daughters.
