If you were looking for a technician job in railways, then there is big news for you. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited applications for more than 14,000 posts of technician. This recruitment process has started from 2 October 2024 and the last date to apply is 16 October 2024. Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of Railway Board, rrbapply.gov.in.
Relief to those who applied first
Earlier also applications were invited for these posts, but the recruitment process was stopped in between. Now, the board has clarified that the candidates who had applied earlier need not apply again. They should consider their old application as valid.
How many posts will be recruited in total?
A total of 14,298 posts will be recruited under this recruitment process. Out of these:
1,092 posts are reserved for Technician Grade 1 (Signal),
8,052 posts for Technician Grade 3,
5,154 posts for Workshop and PSU.
Educational Qualification & Age Limit
Candidates applying for these posts should have passed class 10th from a recognized board as well as ITI, B.Sc or three years polytechnic diploma in relevant field. The age of the candidates should be between 18 to 33 years as on 1 July 2024. Candidates belonging to reserved category will get 3 years relaxation in maximum age.
Application Fee
General, OBC and EWS category candidates applying for the post of technician will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500. At the same time, this fee has been kept at Rs 250 for SC, ST, physically handicapped and female candidates.

Create a new account by filling in your required information or login if you already have an account.
After filling all the information, submit the application form and pay the required fee.
After completing the application process, you can submit the form.
Candidates who have applied earlier can check their application status through their login details and confirm the information given in the application.
