The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) has informed that NEET PG 2024 counseling may start soon. According to this, the Medical Council Committee (MCC) may release the full schedule of counseling on November 11 on its official website mcc.nic.in. The organization has expressed concern over the delay in the counseling process. This delay may affect the timeline of 2025, which may also cause difficulties in the upcoming admission process.
NEET PG 2024: Hearing in Supreme Court on November 19
The demand for the release of NEET PG 2024 results and answer key will be heard in the Supreme Court on November 19. In this case, some candidates had filed a petition in which questions have been raised on the discrepancy in the exam results and the change in the exam pattern at the last moment. Let us tell you that NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted on August 11 and its result was released on August 23. In this result, many top scorers got good marks, while in the second shift, many students got less marks, due to which a situation of controversy arose.
19 candidates raised questions demanding transparency
19 candidates have filed a petition against the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). In this, there is a demand to release the answer key and maintain transparency regarding the scores. After this, questions have been raised on the entire examination process. However, the board has claimed that the examination has been conducted with transparency and all the standards have been followed.
NBEMS will help states in counseling
Dr. Suvarankar Dutta, Senior Resident Radiologist, AIIMS Delhi and President, FEMA India, has shared a letter on social media, stating that the National Medical Commission has directed NBEMS to cooperate in counseling at the state level. The board will now assist the counseling officers in determining state quota and preparing state-specific merit lists. This letter sent to the Ministry of Health on October 26 also mentions problems like giving special incentive marks for candidates working at the state level. Regarding the counseling process of NEET PG 2024, it is expected that MCC will release the schedule soon. Also, hearing on this in the Supreme Court may bring some changes towards transparency in the examination process.
