Lucknow: The names of residential sectors of Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh (UP) may be changed. Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, etc. are set to be replaced by names based on numerical digits like sector one, two, three, four, etc. The Authority has also set up a committee to implement the proposal.
Let us tell you that the committee will also take suggestions from the people of Greater Noida. Then, it will be finalized. After the formation of Greater Noida in 1991, the sectors were named alpha, beta, gamma, delta, omicron, mu, Ju, chai-fi, pie, etc. In many places, sectors with numerical digits were also set up around these sectors. For instance, sectors 36 and 37 were settled near the residential sector Swarnanagari.
Similarly, sectors one, two, and three, and sectors 10, and 12 are in Greater Noida West. There are no sectors with many points between them. Because of this, there is a lot of confusion in writing, speaking, and understanding. The location of these sectors is not estimated. Keeping this in view, the Authority is considering changing the names of these sectors. It may be noted that on Thursday, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of CEO Narendra Bhushan, which was attended by all senior officers including ACEO Deep Chandra and Amandeep Duli. In the meeting, it was agreed to change these names. However, all the industrial sectors that are there, their names will remain from Ecotech. The names of the institutional and IT sectors will remain from Knowledge Park One, Two, Three, Four. In addition, the names of Techzone will be abolished. The names of residential sectors will be from numerical digits like sector-one, two, three, four. After their implementation, when the lease of the property is dead, along with the new name, the old names will also be written in the brackets so that there is no confusion.
