A couple who had gone to Goa to celebrate Valentine's Day without informing their family, drowned in the middle of Palolem on Tuesday (February 14) evening. The deceased boy and girl are originally residents of UP. They have been identified as Supriya Dubey (26) and Vibhu Sharma (27). The Goa Police brought the couple to the shore with the help of lifeguards and have taken possession of the bodies. The family has also been informed about the case.
The police took both of them to Konkan Social Health Center, where the doctors declared them dead. Police have sent the dead bodies for postmortem. Konkan police say that both Supriya and Vibhu were residents of Uttar Pradesh, who had come to Goa for a holiday. Supriya was living in Bangalore in connection with work. Whereas, Vibhu was living in Delhi. Vibhu Sharma was a blogger by profession.
The police have said that the family members of Supriya and Vibhu were not aware that they had gone to Goa. The two were holidaying in Goa for a few days and were spotted walking near Palolem beach by locals on Monday night. At present, the action of the police case has also been taken. All relatives and local people are being questioned.
The police also told that both were relatives of each other. The families of both knew each other, but they did not know that they had also gone to Goa together. The reports say that the couples are always seen hanging out in Goa. Goa is well known for celebrating holidays and New Year, Christmas, or Valentine's Day are the occasions when a huge crowd of people is seen here.
