Dehradun: As soon as the Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra begins, a huge crowd of pilgrims are reaching the Dhams for darshan. However, it is a matter of concern that the bad weather is testing the pilgrims. The problems of pilgrims going to Char Dham from other states of the country including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan have also increased. It is snowing intermittently for the last 12 days in Kedarnath Dham. The weather will be bad in Uttarakhand for 4 days from 30 April. An alert has also been issued on bad weather. Pilgrims are facing problems after rain and snowfall due to inclement weather in Uttarakhand.
It may be noted that the doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on 25 April, while the doors of Badrinath Dham were opened on 27 April. On April 22, the doors of Gangotri-Yamunotri Dham were opened for darshan. So far 77,565 pilgrims have visited Kedarnath Dham. Every day, 14 to 16 thousand pilgrims are reaching the Dham to have darshan.
On Saturday also it started snowing from 3 pm. Due to the snowfall, the devotees are facing problems in the harsh winter and slippery roads. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of the weather remaining like this for the time being. The process of snowfall started from April 18 before the opening of the doors in the Dham. Since then till now the process of snowfall continues. The high peaks of Dham are covered with snow. The temperature is going to minus in the morning. The pilgrims are having darshan of Baba in the midst of snowfall. There were light clouds in the sky in Kedarnath since morning on Saturday. Light rain in the afternoon and after that snowfall started at places like Kedarnath Dham, Base Camp, Ghoda Padav etc. However, despite all the difficulties, the enthusiasm of the passengers remains.
