Jaipur: In a tragic road accident early Saturday morning, six people lost their lives, and three others were seriously injured in Bundi, Rajasthan. The accident occurred around 4:30 AM in the Hindoli police station area on the Jaipur National Highway, when an Eco car collided with an unidentified vehicle.
The collision was so severe that all six occupants of the Eco car died at the scene. The injured individuals were rushed to Bundi District Hospital for treatment, with one of the seriously injured being referred to a hospital in Kota. Initial investigations suggest that the vehicle involved in the accident was a gravel dumper. Witnesses reported that the dumper, loaded with gravel, was traveling on the wrong side of the road and fled the scene after the collision.
Rescue operations, involving personnel from the National Highway Authority and Hindoli police, were challenging and took about 30 minutes to extricate the bodies. The truck driver responsible for the incident remains at large, with a search underway for the suspect. ASP Uma Sharma and the District Officer arrived at the scene to oversee the operation. The bodies were subsequently transported to Bundi Hospital with the assistance of a crane.
The victims have been identified as Mahesh Nayak, Rajesh Nayak, Madan Nayak, and Poonam Nayak, while two others remain unidentified. The injured, Pradeep, Manoj Nayak, and Aniket Nayak, were part of a group from Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, traveling to visit Khatu Shyam Ji. Additional Superintendent of Police Uma Sharma confirmed that the Eco car was struck by the dumper near Lagdariya Bheruji on the Jaipur Fourlane, resulting in the tragic loss of life.
