Bhopal: During the inauguration ceremony of Asia's largest solar energy project set up in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has called PM Narendra Modi the man of ideas. This solar energy project has the capacity to produce 750 MW of electricity. There are three units of 250-250 MW in it.
In the inauguration ceremony of this project, PM Modi is connected through video conferencing. There are many other leaders and officers present on this occasion in Delhi, including Union Energy Minister RK Singh, Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Dharmendra Pradhan, Thavarchandra Gehlot, Prahlad Patel. During this, CM Shivraj said that 24 percent electricity from this plant will be given to Delhi Metro. This project is the first renewable energy project, which will supply electricity to institutional customers such as Delhi Metro outside the state.
Delhi Metro will get 24 percent power from the project and the remaining 76 percent will be given to the power distribution companies of Madhya Pradesh. He informed that work is going on on three more projects in the state. The power generated from these projects will be generated from the National Grid. The electricity produced from these will be supplied to different states including railways.
