Bhopal: The cabinet meeting of the Shivraj government in Bhopal, the capital of central India, is over. Several major decisions have been taken in this meeting. The meeting gave the green signal to the proposal to remove sand and silt from four major dams in the state. The government will get revenue from this move as well as will increase the age of dams. At the same time, a cabinet meeting held today has also approved a proposal to install CCTV cameras inside all police stations in the state.
The Shivraj government has approved a proposal to tender for extraction of sand and silt from four major dams in the state namely Bansagar, Tawa, Indira Sagar, Awantibai Sagar. Under the proposal prepared by the Department of Water Resources, cleaning these dams can provide a large quantity of sand. The government will get revenue by selling this sand. On the other hand, silt extracted from dams will be given to farmers, which they will be able to dump in their fields, which will increase the fertility of the land. Cleaning of dams will increase their age and also increase water storage capacity. This will improve the irrigation system.
The government has also approved a proposal to install CCTV cameras at all police stations in the state. High-quality cameras will be installed in police stations with 18 hours storage capacity. These cameras will also have a night vision and audio facility.
