Dehradun: In a shocking incident of love jihad, a girl has filed a case of rape and forced conversion against three persons, including Shakib Saifi, at Ramnagar Kotwali in Nainital, Uttarakhand. The girl alleged that Shakib Saifi lured her into his love trap by posing as Shiva Thakur and then took her to a room and raped her. It was later revealed that he was a Muslim and not a Hindu. After this revelation, she is being threatened and pressured by Shakib Saifi, Saba, and Yunus to convert to Islam.

The victim girl also says that these three criminals are also threatening her family members. Kotwal Arun Saini said that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint. A search is on for the culprits.

The victim has demanded action against the offender under the Freedom of Conversion Act 2018, to which SSP Pankaj Bhatt said that the Act is still in a legal process, so action cannot be taken. Police will fully assist in getting justice for the victim.
