Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh had been relieved of severe cold for the past few days. The minimum temperature was also above normal. The weather took a turn on Tuesday morning and most cities including Bhopal dropped in the morning. Rajgarh, Hoshangabad, Sehore, Raisen, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Chhatarpur are receiving intermittent rainfall. Similar weather is likely to prevail in the state for two days. Weather experts say the new year will be welcomed amid severe cold wave conditions in the state.
As per the forecast of the same IMD, the impact of snowfall in north India is visible in the state. Most of the areas may receive rainfall. Hailstorm accompanied by rain may also fall in some areas. The weather is likely to remain the same on 28th and 29th December. The cold wave will intensify after 30th December. It will be very cold on 31st December and 1st January. The day temperature will also drop. This means that the New Year will be received in the midst of severe cold in the state.
The same IMD had predicted rainfall in Gwalior-Chambal division as well as in some cities of Ujjain and Bhopal divisions. Bhopal, Panna, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Rewa and Shahdol have been receiving rain since morning on 28th December. This rainfall is considered good for rabi crop. Narsinghpur remained the coldest with 9.0 degrees Celsius on Monday night. Raisen recorded a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in all the remaining cities was more than 10 degrees. According to IMD, the temperature will drop again in a day or two due to mawthe. The night temperature is likely to be below 10 degrees in most cities.
