Samsung is set to reveal its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Ultra early next year, and excitement is building around the device's newly redesigned appearance. Leaks about the flagship phone’s design have been circulating online, showing a significant departure from previous models.
Initial details, based on CAD renders released in March, hinted at a major redesign. Recent leaks have provided a clearer view of the device's side profile, indicating that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature rounded edges and flat sides, a change from the more angular design of its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The phone will also retain a selfie camera cutout positioned at the top center of the display.
The tipster Ice Universe recently shared new images on social media, revealing a phone with slim bezels and a punch-hole display. The flat sides and rounded corners are expected to offer improved ergonomic comfort, similar to the design seen in recent Meizu smartphones.
Previous reports had suggested that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would adopt a more curved design, signaling a shift away from the boxy look that has characterized the S series Ultra models since the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
In addition to these design updates, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, has been spotted on Samsung's OTA servers. These models are expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC and a range of AI-driven capabilities. The official launch of these devices is anticipated for early 2025.
Rumors also indicate that the Galaxy S25 Ultra might come with 16GB of RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone is expected to include an advanced quad-camera system with a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP sensor with 5x optical zoom, and two additional 50MP ultra-wide and telephoto lenses. Additionally, it may have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
