Ambedkarnagar: two children, who went for bathing in Ghagra River near Birahar Ghat in Jahangirganj police station area, drowned in the river. The two bodies were pulled out with the help of divers with locals who arrived at the information. According to police, the two bodies have been sent for post-mortem.

As per information received from sources, 9-year-old Manuddin and 8-year-old Ali Arshad, a Mansurganj resident of Jahangirganj Police station, were bathing at Birghaghat in the river on Sunday morning. At the time of bathing, he sank as the river moved into a fast flow. The two died because of it. The incident was reported to the police by the people.
