On September 5, the highly anticipated first look of Lalbaugcha Raja was revealed, marking the official start of this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. The unveiling of the iconic Ganesh idol set the tone for one of Mumbai’s most eagerly awaited festivals.

The Lalbaugcha Raja is a renowned symbol of the Ganeshotsav festival, celebrated by the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal. This revered mandal, established in 1934, is located at Putlabai Chawl and has a storied history within the city's cultural and religious landscape.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi, began on September 6 and will extend for 10 days, concluding on Anantha Chaturdashi. This festival is marked by vibrant celebrations and devout worship, reflecting the deep significance of Lord Ganesha in the region’s traditions.
