Guntur: In a tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district, three college students lost their lives due to rash driving. The incident occurred during the early hours of Sunday when a group of ten students from a private engineering college in Eluru district decided to take a joyride to Maredumilli, a wildlife center in East Godavari district known for its waterfalls and rich biodiversity.
The car, driven at a high speed, veered out of control and plunged into a canal near Burugupudi gate in East Godavari district around midnight on Saturday, as reported by the police. Harshavardhan, Hemant, and Uday Kiran were tragically among the deceased, while the other occupants of the car sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the accident.
In another unfortunate mishap in Jharkhand's Giridih, a bus lost control and fell into a river, resulting in six fatalities and several injuries. According to police, around 30 people were onboard the bus when the accident occurred. The bus careened out of control and plunged approximately 30 feet into the river below. Both incidents have left a trail of devastation and grief, prompting authorities to take necessary measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
