Jaipur: A chemical-filled tanker overturned on the Desuri Mega Highway in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district on Friday. In the tragic accident, a car plunged under a tanker, killing 9 out of 10 people on board. A small girl was reported injured in the incident.
The victims are still trapped under the tanker, which is being evacuated with the help of a crane. The accident has caused a jam on the spot. According to the police, the tanker, which was going from Charbhuja to Desuri, fell uncontrollably over the front car. The chemical-filled in the tanker spread on the road after the accident. A bike rider coming from the front was also hit by the tanker. However, he narrowly escaped.
Kumbhalgarh DSP Narpat Singh, Charbhuja police station in-charge Bharat Singh, Kelwa police station in-charge Bhagwan Lal reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. After which work is being carried out to evacuate people trapped under the tanker with the help of crane. However, preliminary information is yet to be ascertained.
