Jaipur: Police have busted a gang in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan that cheated people of lakhs of rupees by trapping them in honeytraps. Police said the protest had committed several incidents. Police have arrested four miscreants, including a woman involved in the gang, and recovered cash worth Rs 1.20 lakh. Now the police are interrogating them. For a long time, these people have been cheating people by honeytraps.
The case pertains to the Nagar Police Station area, where the gang-involved woman along with her husband and two other accomplices had kidnapped a man by trapping him in a honeytrap trap. He then started blackmailing her by making videos. The victim's family lodged a complaint with the police station after demanding a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from the man's family. Police have formed a team and arrested four miscreants including the woman involved in the gang.
The woman was reportedly earlier trapping people in her trap. He would then take off their videos and kidnap them along with his gang, then demand a ransom from his family. The arrested gang miscreants have been identified as Sanjida and her husband Tahir, Aslam and Umardin. Police are now interrogating them.
