Jaipur: Rajasthan's Rajsamand police have arrested four accused for allegedly stabbing a youth named Pankaj. The arrested accused have been identified as Yameen, Waseem, Wasim Pathan and Sohail Khan. It is alleged that the four had stabbed Pankaj, who was eating at the hotel, after a minor dispute. The incident took place in the Rajnagar area of Thana Rajnagar.

The victim, Pankaj, while informing the media about the incident, said, "My friend Pipra and I had gone to a hotel to eat dal bati. We were standing there when two people came. They started fighting with my friend, so we stopped them. When I stopped them from quarrelling, they started abusing us. That's why we had an argument. A little later, they both left.'' Pankaj said, "After the incident, we also went to another hotel. After 10-15 minutes, they brought two more people. Three of the four had knives. They attacked me. During this time I was injured. Later, they all fled.''

Pankaj, the victim of the attack, sustained head and hands injuries. The injured was taken to Udaipur for treatment. During the treatment, Pankaj received more than 20 stitches. According to the Rajasthan Police, the incident took place around 10:30 pm on June 26, 2022, the complaint of which was lodged at the police station the next day on June 27. The victim, Pankaj, is 27 years old. Another friend named Kailash was also present with the victim during the incident.

The incident started with two boys who came on a motorcycle over a dispute with the hotel owner over food. During this time, Pankaj and his associates separated the people who were arguing. Later, the assailants came in numbers of 4 and attacked Pankaj, who was defending the middle, with kicks, bribes and knives. Pankaj suffered serious injuries on his head, back, hands, shoulders and arms in the attack.

According to the police press note, people gathered nearby when the injured Pankaj screamed, but by then the four attackers had fled. Later, police conducted raids in Bhilwara and Udaipur in search of the accused. The police finally arrested 25-year-old Yasin, 20-year-old Waseem, 20-year-old Wasim Pathan and 20-year-old Sohail. The four accused are vicious kinds of crooks. They have confessed to the murderous attack on Pankaj with a knife.
