Jaipur: A case of vandalism of a temple on the day of Govardhan Puja has come to light from the Bhiwadi district of Rajasthan. According to the report, people of Dalit society were doing the Annakoot Prasad distribution program in the Shiva temple of Hamiraka village located in the Sheikhpura police station area, in the meantime, 4 youths of the Muslim community came and attacked the temple and vandalised and threw away the entire prasad. When people stopped them from doing so, Muslim youths also assaulted them.

According to the report, the incident took place on Wednesday (October 26). Members of the Dalit community were holding the Annakoot Prasad distribution program on the day of Govardhan Puja, in the meantime Mubarik, Mufid, Talim, and Jom Khan came there and after vandalising, threw the prasad on the ground. When others present in the temple proceeded to stop them, The Muslim youths threatened to kill them and did not even allow aarti to be held in the temple. The victim's side went to Sheikhpur police station with their complaints, but they were not heard. After this, the angry crowd protested outside the police station. Meanwhile, former President of Bhiwadi Municipal Council Sandeep Dayma, former MLA Maman Singh Yadav, BJYM District President Abhay Singh and many BJP leaders and workers also reached the spot after getting information about the matter.  

The police sent officials to Sheikhpura considering the seriousness of the matter. After this two people were arrested while taking immediate action. ASP Vipin Sharma assured to arrest of the remaining accused in 24 hours. According to the report, after this whole incident, when the protesters were demanding the arrest of the accused, Congress MLA Sandeep Yadav from Tijara also reached there. Seeing them, BJP workers alleged that they have come to save the accused. After this, there was an argument between the supporters of the MLAs and BJP  workers and the matter reached a scuffle. The police somehow pacified both parties and cooled the matter.

Let us tell you that in Rajasthan only the people of the Hindu community were not attacked by the Muslim community on the day of Govardhan Puja. On the day of Diwali, people of the Muslim community in Kaithwara had assaulted Hindus expressing their objection to the bursting of crackers. One person was seriously injured in the incident. However, the Bharatpur police had categorically denied the assault due to the bursting of firecrackers.
